Strategic planning in the process management of the cultivation of Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) in the canton of Valencia, Province of Los Ríos

Abstract
This project was carried out in the Canton of Valencia, Los Ríos Province - Ecuador; It was aimed at small and medium-sized cocoa farmers in order to evaluate the process management in cocoa production; the investigation was located in the field of descriptive social sciences; simple probability random sampling was applied for data processing. Variables such as: general aspects of the producers, establishment of the crop, cultural work, harvest and distribution were analyzed. For the identification of strategies, the SWOT, CONFRONTATION and CAME matrix was used in order to apply the systemic approach. It was known that one of the most affected factors in the process is the inadequate management of its production process for which it is proposed to make use of the reorientation strategy in order to correct the weaknesses taking advantage of the opportunities of the external factor for which it is proposed to apply the process of continuous improvement in its production processes making use of the new technologies present in the environment, which that will allow you to maximize your productive levels.
