Strategies for the implementation of digital government towards the modernization of the public University in Peru

Abstract
The purpose of digital government is to efficiently take advantage of the use of ICT in the operation of state entities to streamline the procedures carried out by citizens and therefore contribute to making the public function transparent. The objective set out in this research is aimed at developing strategies for the implementation of digital government that allows the modernization of the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University (UNPRG) towards an open and responsible governance with the university community. The methodology used is based on a descriptive scope, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design; The sample was determined by 39 administrative employees of the UNPRG following a non-probabilistic sample by competencies. The survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, which consisted of 14 items. The results show that only 15.4% of those surveyed consider that the modernization of the public university is efficient, while 76.9% consider it as regular. In conclusion, the adequate application of the strategies in the implementation of digital government in the UNPRG, requires a large part of the commitment and predisposition of the directors, teaching staff and administrative personnel, therefore, it is necessary to work in a structured and united way to achieve the goals. institutional objectives.
