State of the green areas of the Comas district

Abstract
Green areas play a very important role in people's quality of life, because they create a healthy life, together with their urban aesthetic role. Comas is a district that, over time, its green areas have been neglected. Objective: To evaluate the current situation of the green areas of the Comas district. Materials and methods. The quantitative approach was used, non-probabilistic sampling for convenience, proportional to the number of parks for each zone of the district, observation technique, with the checklist and field notes. Results. In the 76 parks sampled throughout the district, the existence of 26% was observed, which lacked irrigation, as well as 15.8% with terrible and bad irrigation due to inopportune irrigation, due to the lack of water. Zones 1, 2 and 3 present a deplorable state of the vast majority of their parks. Conclusion. The maintenance of green areas is inadequate, due to the lack of sustainable irrigation, due to the absence of water sources.
